In the background, a large metal object over a desert landscape. Above is shown "FIRST CONTACT. LAST STAND." Alice falling backwards firing guns, smashing though a window, glass shards fallingA montage of six characters, each with a different response, mostly related to the pandemic.

All the sci-fi films from the 1950s are about the earth being invaded by some sort of alien species
and how they are going to fight it for the sake of their future and like "the invasion of the body snatchers"
their is a lot of drama and fear of people not seeming like they should be ie "my husband is not my husband" which was based on the fears of the real times of communism succeeding and spreading to everyone.
while all the recent sci-fi films all deal with the same thing but not to exploit a fear but to entertain the audience.
Their are some differences in the films from the 1950s and the recent such as the recent also being a hybrid of zombie films but their are still a lot of similarities such as invasion, aliens, and fear.
From the 1950s to the recent times sci-fi films have changed in the way they are done the graphics and the detail but they are still mainly based on the same ideas and story line but just in a different way.
